The Long Quiet
Jute and cotton woven together give a texture closer to linen than to anything knitted — you feel the weave, and it moves away from the body as you walk. At 136 GSM it is light enough to forget you are wearing it. The pockets are deep enough to keep your hands in, and the long sleeves turn back at the cuff.
- 50% jute / 50% cotton, dense woven, 136 GSM — the lightest piece in the line. Light Beige.
- Women’s caftan: floor-length straight fall, band collar with a buttoned placket, long sleeves, side slit, patch pockets.
- Dry Clean Only. No Washing, No Bleach, No Tumble Dry, No Wringing. Cool Iron On Reverse with press cloth. Store Somewhere Dry, Somewhere Quiet.
From the founder
A jute-cotton caftan is not something you find easily — the weaving at this density is uncommon, and our mill in India took several attempts to get the hand right. The care label is direct: dry clean only, no washing. The line at the bottom — store somewhere dry, somewhere quiet — is one I wrote myself. It is the shortest description of what this whole brand is for.

Questions
Is jute scratchy? A 50/50 dense weave — textured and natural, closer to linen than to burlap. It softens with wear.
Caftan or dress? A caftan: straight loose fall, V-neck placket, side slit. Wear it as either.
